Wesley Stutts Obituary

Wesley Ray Stutts, Jr.
Mr. Stutts, 84 of Charlotte died Wednesday, April 5, 2006 at Little Flower Assisted Living.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, April 8, 2006 at McEwen - Mint Hill Chapel with The Reverend Arnold D. Corriher officiating. Interment will follow at Charlotte Memorial Gardens. The family will greet friends for one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Mr. Stutts, husband of the late Alyce Joyce Calloway Stutts, was born September 28, 1921 in Charlotte, the son of the late Wesley Ray Stutts, Sr. and Mary Ann Pruitt Stutts. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force having served his country during World War II. Mr. Stutts was a long-time member of Hickory Grove United Methodist Church. He formerly worked with Highland Park Mills and retired as a foreman from Conbraco Industries of Matthews, NC.
Survivors include his nieces, Patti Calloway and Susan Calloway Caudill both of Midland, NC, Wanda Rhumel Dunn of Charlotte and Sherra Dunn of Gastonia; one great nephew; and three great nieces.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hickory Grove UMC, 6401 Hickory Grove Rd., Charlotte, NC 28215 or Hospice and Palliative Care, 1420 E. 7th Street, Charlotte, NC 28204.
