I remember when my family visited them in Goshen and I heard his children's sermon about snickers and sneakers. Dear Timmer family. Your Dad was a neighbor and playmate of Marv Vredeveld in Drenthe. They spent many happy hours together after their "chores" were done. Ice skating in the winter was one of them. Your Dad was aware of God at an early age. He remembers ice skating on a cloudy day and there was a break in the clouds with blue sky showing through.
