Not sure what to say?

I was Mr. Vryhof's last student teacher before he retired. He was kind and patient to his students and to me! He taught me through example how to lead my classroom with empathy and gentleness. I still use his demonstrations and illustrations today. He was a man who showed God's love through his words and actions everyday.

Mr Vryhof was a loving and patient teacher, especially for students like me who did not understand Algebra. Later in life we knew him as a fellow faculty member with my husband Arnie Snoeyink and Fran as a fellow faculty wife. Both were always kind and caring. What a joyful reunion in heaven with many former teachers and students from GR Christian High! Blessings, Shirley Snoeyink

I have such good memories of him as a student at GRCH! He was such a good teacher and so well thought of.

I'm sorry to miss this until now. He was such a great guy! While I haven't seen him for awhile, each time I did after high school, I always asked why I needed to take Algebra. He would just laugh. Well done coach!

Of all the people I have met Wes Vryhof stands out, As a coach, teacher and friend he has no equal. Blessings and love to him and to his family

Mr. Vryhof was one of the best high school teachers and coaches at GR Christian High School. Students respected him as well as his fellow teachers. He was a man to be emulated. His physics and trigonometry classes are memorable as he had a way of teaching that's hard to duplicate. Everyone fortunate enough to have known Mr. Vryhof became a better person because of him.

Nothing but fond memories of Mr. Vryhof and the entire V family. From the earliest memory of Steve and I sneaking into the halftime locker room of bball games against the likes of Lee Lafayette led South High to annual summer Pentwater camping or trips to Banff and the Smokies. The best of times. Wonderful to witness our parents being the best of life-long friends during their GRCHS times and to fully beyond. Cherish the memories. Your parents were the best of the best. God's peace...

I was blessed to have Coach Vryhof as a teacher, coach, and friend.

Wes was a gentleman in every sense of the word, in addition to being an excellent teacher and all-around good person. We fellow teachers at GRCH admired, respected and just liked him so much. My sympathy to his family.
