Red helped jump start quite a few peoples musical career as owner of the Cuba Lake Pavilion. Gave my band, The Checkmates, our first opportunity to perform other than in the Olean High School gym. At the Pavilion people from all over western NY came to dance, drink and listen to bands they had never heard before.
The one unique thing I remember about Red was that at closing time he would get on his PA system and announce "Last call for alcohol", this expression I would repeat a hundred...
