Not sure what to say?

A favorite teacher, everyone loved him tough but fair. Will never be forgotten. he was a great role model for all of us. I took a photo of Mr, Cate that has been shared with many of his students,

Ten years have passed, I still remember Mr.Cate and his interesting classes. I too, ended up teaching and loved it. I was in elementary education ending up working with adults which I found my greatest pleasure. It's educators like Mr. Cate who provided role models for his students.

Cate Family,
Thank you Paul for the call.
Wayne, Henry, and I have such fond memories of visits with Wes. Our Love and prayers are with you all. We are sorry to not be able to attend the service. Love, Dorothy Knott

Wes, Paul, David and your loved ones,

During my visits to Dunrovin, I got over to Fox Run a few times, and always enjoyed your Dad's warmth and wit and hospitality, as well as your Mom's. And you guys are chips off the old blocks. I always had good times up there with my family and yours and considered the Cates as my second family.

Dear Paul, Sandal, Austin & Logan, So sorry to hear of your Dad and Grandfather's passing. He had a great knowledge of Vermont history and was a good steward of our natural environment. He will be missed by many.

Sincerely, Jeff, Cheri & Kelcie Bean

Mr Cate helped me learn English. I think this served me well as a scientist although many of my coworkers felt this was a quaint affectation. Alas, I was too young apprecitate all Mr Cate had to offer, but I enjoyed his wit and wisdom in the local paper
My condolences to the family. They should be very proud of their father / grandfather who contributed so much to so many.

Weston Cate was my all-time favorite teacher! He took it upon himself to help enrich the lives of so many students who had never been outside the boundaries of WRJct. He offered journalism and psychology when these courses were unheard of as high school subjects, and also had a few of us come to his home for a special Chinese dinner, using chop sticks the right way. I owe Mr. Cate so much. He gave my education a jump start that never slowed down. As a retired teacher and federal...

To the Cate Children and family, I offer my most heartfelt condolences.

Mr. Cate was my English teacher in 1956-57 at HH in WRJ. I loved his very wry sense of humor- I might even say sardonic - which was very pleasing to 17 year olds who didn't get enough of that in our daily lives. It forced us to look at life in a more realistic and multi-sided way, which was a great influence on me, up to this day.

One incident that my other classmates might recall, was the day...
