Not sure what to say?

WHIT, TO ME, WAS THE IMPERSONATION OF SWEETNESS AND PROFESSIONAL DIGNITY. A PEROSN WHO SHOULD NEVER DIE, AS SOMEBODY SAID. GOD BLESS HIM.

I am too sad to interpolate my feelings into words sound and profound.

Whit was such a gentle man. His friendship at Chautauqua is a warm memory. He and Kennon hosted me several times when I visited NYC. His lovely generous manner was genuine and he will be fondly remembered.

So sorry to hear this. I have been using two of his wonderful Dance CDs in my Ballet classes all this month:) I never used them before; they were a gift from my lovely teacher of yore, Rochelle Zide Booth. I regret that I never met Whit in person, but I feel that I got to know him a wee little bit through his wonderful work. Without a doubt, Whit's music has made all my current Ballet students so happy, happy to dance in Tucson these past few weeks:) We love to dance to his melodies! ...

Whit was a dear man and a true artist. I am sad beyond words at his passing from us so soon.

I knew Whit at Morelli's 14th Street dance studio in the late '70s or early '80s. What a dear, kind man he was. I'm saddened to think of his passing too soon, but heartened to learn of what he accomplished.

Dear Kennon,
Norman and I remember both you and Whit fondly from the many years you were here at Chautauqua. Whit graced the Chautauqua ballet with his exceptional talent.
We are both saddened by your loss.

I knew Whit from our days in Memphis, and continued the friendship over so many years. What a kind, talented, self-deprecating and droll man he was!

How sad to learn about Whit's passing. The first rehearsal that I attended at the Met was with Whit, playing and singing all of the parts, including chorus for a rehearsal of Act I of Turandot, when the production was new in 1987. I remember how we cheered him at the end of the rehearsal. Such a talented sweet man. His ballet class CD's are divine. He will be missed
