Dear Helen, I'm so sorry for your loss. I worked with Woody at Ingersoll-Rand. We shared the same birthday and Woody would go to Peke Inn and get us barbequed spare ribs. He was the funniest guy with great stories. The last time I saw him was at my brother's funeral service in 2004. May your fond memories, of which you have many, bring you peace.

Woody was a good friend of my brother, Ron, and to the Stueber family. He often visited our home on Summit Ave and took many trips with Ron. My sympathies to his family.

"Woody" Geary was the quintessential runner. He supported women's long distance running before it was in vogue. He took a group of us "Strider Girls" to the L'eggs Mini Marathon (10k) in 1980. It was a women's only event and I was astonished at the number of participants. We were hooked! To say Woody was extremely funny would be an understatement! Woody's humor was often irreverent but he never crossed the line and became vulgar. Running road races back in the 80's was a blast but part of the...
