Whitney Michelle Allen Hodgkins February 16, 1977 – October 21, 2017 Whitney was born in Greensboro, NC, and also lived in Virginia and New Jersey before moving to McKinney at age 12. She graduated from McKinney's ACT Academy and graduated from Texas Women's University magna cum laude. Whitney was an avid reader, loved to travel, and lived in England, South Korea, Arizona and Texas as an adult. One of her favorite places was the Arizona desert. One of her favorite pastime was spending time with her family and the family dogs. Whitney is survived by… Her parents, Dan and Susan Allen of McKinney, and her brother, Geoffrey from New York City; Her maternal grandparents, Dwight and Annette Idol, from High Point, NC; Her maternal aunt and uncle, Mike and Sherry Newnam, from Raleigh, NC; Her paternal uncle and aunt, Jerry and Barbara Allen, from McLean, VA; Her paternal uncle, Randall Allen, from Greensboro, NC; And eight cousins Brandon and Josh Newnam; Brandi Frey; and Julie, Adria, Jonathan, and Evan Allen; and Natalie Allen Dubois. Whitney was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Jerry and Edith Allen. Whitney's memorial service was held at Christ Fellowship Church in McKinney TX on Thursday, October 26, 2017.
