From the day I had met both Carol and Whit there was a mutual bond between them both. I still remember the two standing on the bridge in Carol`s beautiful garden overlooking the enormous selection of the most gorgeous plants,and trees,then to their left was Whit`s pride and joy, his pond area of all species of fish,with the most beautiful arrangements of pond lilies and grasses.They were both joined in not only there life together but in the view of everyone their love for one another....

I was very saddened hear about my cousin, Whitney. Although the years have seen our families grow apart, we always remember the days, that now seem so long ago, when we would visit at Uncle Whit and Aunt Nora's home. I wish your family peace and comfort in your memories.

Goodbye good friend.Whit worked with me for 30 years at SSA and was a true loyal frind and i will always remember and cherish his friendship

Whitney was an amazing dog trainer, he helped my husband Dave tremendously in training our dog Travis for field trials. We lost touch over the past sevearl years. But from time to time I would run into him in town. He will be missed.

Whitney and I were childhood friends growing up together in the Forest Park section of Springfield with Whitney living on Groveland St. and me on Somerset St. He exhibited his love for the outdoors early letting me compete against him with his BB gun shooting at targets. He was a pretty good shot even in his pre-teen years. I fondly remember his dad, and his mom, who was a sweet woman and a pretty good cook, having eaten at his home many times. We lost touch after high school which I deeply...
