Whitney died of natural causes on Wednesday, Feb. 24, 2016 while at work. She was 74 years old and a 42-year resident of Baton Rouge serving her community as a social worker. She is survived by her brothers, Wayne and Lynn Walton. Whitney will be interred in the Walton family plot in Roanoke, VA....

My dearest Whitney.
She was like a mother to me. Her and my mother were great friends. I will miss meeting up at the movies on Friday to see the newest release. I will miss eavesdropping on her and my mom discussing the latest James Patterson novel. I will miss coming out to Florida to hang out at her beach house & playing with her doggies.
