STEPHENS REV. WHITTY GENE STEPHENS JR. Beloved brother of Sandra Carson and Maggie Green, dearest nephew of Pastor Leon Ross Sr. of Montgomery, AL. Viewing Tuesday, 10 a.m. - 7 p.m. at Strowder's Funeral Home, 822 E. 105th St.. wake and service Wednesday, 9:30 a.m. at Corinthian Baptist Church, 1643 E. 55th St. Interment at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.

The the Stephens family, sorry for your loss. Whitty G. was a great friend, mentor, and an outstanding American soldier (paratrooper). I will always remember him with great fondness and respect. May he rest in peace. Airborne!

Maggie and Sandra we go back a long way. I'll miss Whitty and remember the times we played together as children. After all these years the friendship never changed. I'll miss not having him at my Super Bowl parties.

I rememeber when i was student and soon to be graduating from CSU, you would always fondly say" hey baby girl" this was way of having something good to say to me without any hesitation! I remembeer we would talk day or night no matter what the hour one thing I can always say, you were the most closet and dearest friend and also someone I could call when I need you! My condolences to the Stephens family. Whitty was dedicated to education. A very serious person. He chaperoned a college tour to D.C. with our Olivet Institutional Baptist Church group. May he R.I.P. May the family be blessed. OIBC Member
