Dr. Ing. Widen TABAKOFF

He was one of the great professors that I had the pleasure to meet when I was doing my master degree in the University of Cincinnati. He was brilliant in aero propulsion and he inspired me to continue my studies to obtain a PhD in that field. God bless him and have mercy on his soul.

Being a minister of higher education in 2000 i met Professor Tabakoff in Bulgaria and had a long talk with him. I am from Belogradchik and he was from a village close to Belogradchik. He was a schoolmate of my father from the high school in Vidin. I deeply regret for his death, my condolences to the family

I was Prof Tabakoff's student from 1991 1997. Prof Tabakoff was a great mentor. I learnt a lot from him both in the propulsion laboratory as well as good qualities. He was stern, kind, generous and magnanimous with students. I have very fond memories of my stay at UC, he was one of the main reasons for it. He will be greatly missed. I pray that the good Lord will give his family members comfort and peace during this time.

I was one of his doctoral students during 1989-1995. He was a great Professor, thesis advisor, mentor and a role model to me. He contributed extensively to the field of turbomachinery/propulsion research. He will be truly missed by all his students and colleagues. May his soul rest in peace in Heaven!
