Not sure what to say?

Wig you led such a wonderful life and affected so many people in such a positive way. You had a strong influence on my Sarah in her Derby Academy years. As you look down on us be proud and peaceful. Janet Moore

One of my favorite people of all time and one of the World's Great Falstaffian characters! We miss you Senator! And we love you!

Molly, Beth, Morgan & Ben,

Eileen and I just learned of Wig's passing and we are so sorry for your loss.

I have treasured my relationship with Wig for so many years. He was my fraternity brother at Lake Forest and my good friend ever since. He too is legendary in the Williams family and I truly wish my two children had learned how to memorize the presidents of the US the way Beth, Morgan and Ben did.

I also hope that when Wig arrived at the pearly gates, St. Pete was...

So sad to hear this. Wig was my dad's college buddy (David Kern) and a part of my childhood (through both "tall tales" and real life visits. I have a VERY clear memory of frolicking together on the sands of Point Beach State Park in my home town of Two Rivers, WI. AND him making ME memorize all the presidents in order when we went to visit him when I was in 4th grade (1981). I remember a red velvet lined (?) cabinet with little figurines of all the presidents in his library. When I got...

Dear Molly & Family,
I just learned today of the passing of our good friend and fellow Peace Corps Volunteer. Please accept my sincere condolences at this most difficult time. Not only will he remain in my memory from our time together in LA for Peace Corps Training and then as volunteers in Peru, but also for the great "mini-reunions" you and Wig would sponsor for members of PC Group ... those were wonderful week-ends well spent with many good friends from the past. I will always be...

Molly...Just heard from Judy that Wig passed away. So very sorry to hear this.
Hope all is well with you and the family.
Take care....

Wigmore A. Pierson III was a Falstaffian character with an infectious zest for life. Any one who knew him had their life enriched and this planet is the poorer for his passing. Thanks for all the rewarding memories, Wig! Allah yifhazak (God Protect You)!

Beth, Morgan, Jack and Molly --

Words can not express my sadness at hearing of Wig's passing.

Yet, each time I have thought of Wig over these past several days -- as we all have through the years -- I can not help but smile while remembering a particular witticism from him (among many), a public statement that brought down the house, a TV show of his that stood out, or one of the many times we together fought the good fight.

Thank you for sharing Wig with the...
