Not sure what to say?

There are some people that just seem bigger than life and Wilbert is one of those people... I'm unable to think of him without hearing his laugh... a life well lived.

Though I didn't know Wilber as well as most here at DSC, he certainly could tell a joke and get you in a good mood - he will be missed by everyone!

Wilber was always a friend and inspiration that we will miss. He had a sense of humor that gave him the ability to make everyone laugh no matter what the group mood was at the time. I would have liked to have had him telling jokes for a lot longer time, but I am sure that he is in a better place telling jokes to Tommy, Mamo, and all his pals that are with him.
You can be sure that he is in the thoughts of all of us that cared for him.

With...

When someone like Wilber is taken from us suddenly the pain sometimes seems more than we can bear. And yet, with time, our memories grow more precious, and we come to realize that those we've loved, live on within our hearts.

Let us rejoice as we remember Wilber and his character; a caring man, a gentle man, spreader of happiness, dedicated to his family, dedicated to his work and a man that put everyone else's feelings and needs ahead of his own. Let Wilber now rest in PEACE and continue spreading his special joy to the Heavens.

He was just one of those people that I always knew because my family always knew him- the robust old comedian that was unique yet familiar and no matter how long you knew him, never seemed to age and just kept going! But as I grew I had the pleasure of enjoying his company at the Wetta camp when we'd go fishing, at Alicia's graduation party and wedding where on both occasions he was just so proud of his beautiful...

Wilber & Loretta

It never is easy to let someone go, but I find comfort in knowing Wilber is in Heaven telling the best of his tales. He probably had St. Peter in stitches from the moment he arrived! Wilber was the type of person that could lighten any mood and could turn a bad day into a good one with just one of his funny stories. I never could understand how he retained so many stories and jokes – I forget the punch line right after I hear a joke! I remember meeting Wilber as a young girl and always...

Remembering Wilber while driving to his services, I thought, if you were to liken the people we have known in our lives to stars in the sky, some glittering dimly while others shine bright, Wilber would be a Comet! Outshining everyone around him, Wilber possessed a zest for life and a love of people. He always said "Pal" at the end of how he greeted you, "Hey pal", "What's up pal?". With Wilber, it wasn't a habit. Each and evey time he said it, he meant it. He always thought of others before...
