Mr Blackwell was able to bring out the 'person' in a teacher with his quick wit and attention to what his students really needed. He was my Scoutmaster taking us on weekly adventures of camping and learning to cook our own meals. He was my 5th and 6th grade football coach, quick to let us know our goofing off in practice was not going to be tolerated. He was greatly respected by his students.
