Wilbur Bluhm

Wilbur was a steadfast colleague, mentor and friend. We worked together from 1975 through his retirement in 1984. Wilbur retired from his OSU extension office in 1984. But, he did not retire from expanding and sharing his enthusiasm and great horticultural knowledge of native plants in Oregon through tours he led, through thoughtful publications he authored, and through his joyfully identifying native plants for others. I was delighted to meet Wilbur later in his life by means of his son Bob. Lovely man! We had good conversations about understanding genealogical data and the meaning of our heritage in our own lives. We also encouraged each other in matters of faith, reminding ourselves of our confidence in the resurrection that God offers us through Christ.
