Not sure what to say?

I first met Bill as a very young part time secretary to John Marshall, ESQ. He and John were good friends and sometimes they would invite me and the other employees for dinner at Lombardi´s. He was always very much the gentleman and always polite. I have thought of him over the years and very sad that I didn´t get a chance to say goodbye to a very dear person.

I miss our talks Bill. God bless you Walt "Tim" Hanna

I miss you big guy, but glad you are finally without pain

It's been a 11 years since you've passed Bill. Prayers & love to you in heaven and to your family... I still cherish our talks and the movie screening we went to in my WW2 Chevy Truck!

I often feel like one of the luckiest guys in the world, not only to have known Bill Littlefield, but to have had him as a father. He was so much to so many, but to me he was a teacher, an advisor, a jokester, a companion, a role model, a hero and so many things, too many to enumerate here. A big Thank You to all who have posted on this site; reading your kind words and memories has deepened my appreciation for how lucky I am.

Several days ago, I was looking at details in my father's WWII flight log book. On Jan 11, 1945, our father's torpedo bomber was hit by Japanese anti-aircraft fire, and they had to make an emergency landing near Tarlac, Central Luzon. On June 20, they met up with "Lt Littlefield, 2 Sgts and several Filipino scouts", and got out from behind enemy lines the next day. I decided to look up Lt Littlefield -- wow! Years ago, I read Ghost Soldiers. Now will have to re-read it. Thank you Lt Littlefield!

Uncle burr was a great man and great uncle to me.
