Betty Kenley Obituary

Betty Williams Kenley, 73, of Charlotte, died Monday, November 18, 2002 at her home after a long battle with cancer. Mrs. Kenley was born March 15, 1929 in Gaston County, daughter of the late Jack C. Williams and Lena Bailey Summers. She was predeceased by two brothers, W.J. Williams and Crawford Williams, and two sisters, Doris Ouellette and Ann Dillon. She was a member of Pleasant Hill Presbyterian Church when God called her to be with Him.
Mrs. Kenley is survived by her husband of 56 years, Walter Calvin Kenley; three children, Virginia Kenley McKnight and her husband Walker P. McKnight, Teresa Kenley Keaton and her husband Steve Keaton, and Walter Calvin Kenley, Jr. and his wife Paulette Kenley; five grandchildren, Wendy Markle and her husband Korey Markle, Shelley Desio and her husband Daniel Desio, Lee LeClair and her husband Robert LeClair, Calvin Kenley III and Katherine Kenley; five great grandchildren, Zachary Markle, Hannah Desio, Preston Desio, Brandon LeClair and Rachel LeClair; and one sister, Juanita Jameson of Nashua, New Hampshire.
A graveside service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Kenley will be at 2 o'clock, Wednesday, November 20, 2002 at Sharon Memorial Park. The service will be officiated by the Reverend Robert Jack and assisted by the Reverend Larry Allen.
Memorials may be made to Hospice at Charlotte, 1420 East Seventh Street, Charlotte, NC 28204.
