Wilda Martinez, what can I say about such an amazing woman? I only knew her briefly compared to most of her ARS family, but she always made me feel welcomed and appreciated. She was the Area Director for the NAA when I was hired and retired less than a year later, and yet she impacted my life more than she knew. I had never met a woman more humble and powerful in such a peaceful/quite way and all while working to the betterment of research. A woman, never stepping into the spotlight but...

Wilda undoubtably had the most impact on my career in ARS. She was a great mentor and her leadership and friendship have been greatly missed. Floyd Dowell, Manhattan, KS

Wilda was a treasured client and friend for over 40 years. Our sincere condolences to her family. She was a wonderful lady and will be missed by all who knew her.

I had the pleasure to know Wilda when I worked at the research laboratory in Kearneysville, West Virginia, and she was our Area Director. Chatting with her always made me smile; we shared some family stories and she always remembered to ask about my children. She set a great example for women in science, and I'm proud to say I knew her. I'm truly sorry for your loss.
