Not sure what to say?

My wife Mary and I met Wilfred and Ida at the Unitarian Fellowship when we lived in Ann Arbor. We had many good Sunday lunch's at the League.
What a gentleman.

Wilfred's tireless devotion to the arts will be remembered by many of us who were involved with Ann Arbor's musical life. As the founding president of the Board of Directors of Ars Musica, he helped create America's first period instrument orchestra. At the other end of the musical spectrum, he was actively involved in the formation of the Once Festival, presenting avant garde and experimental music of local composers. Wilfred was a wonderful man who made Ann Arbor a better place to live....

I have known Wilfred for over 30 years. I worked for him at the U. I also did a lot of work for him at home. I know he was very generous and giving. I don't think I ever saw him angry or upset - what a tribute. May the family take comfort in the fact that he had a very long and fruitful life. He touched many lives.

I met Wilfred a few months ago and found him to be a wonderful man, friend and writer.

God bless his family and all those who loved him and stood side by side with him until the end, holding his hand and assuring him that he was loved. God bless you for being there for him in his final hours.

Enjoyed studying his book at Purdue in 1971:Elements of Ordinary Differential Equations. Wilfred Kaplan. Addison-Wesley, Reading, Mass. The book was well-written and quite clear: it helped me in later courses in mathematics and graduate level transport phenomena at Stevens Institute of Technology: I wish I could have taken a course with him.

I was fortunate to have Professor Kaplan for Operational Linear Systems, Math 448 in 1972. He was a great teacher. I also used and use his Advanced Calculus Text.
