Not sure what to say?

This is extremely late, but we have just learned of Bill Marston's death. Deborah Anderson and Carl Hagstrom were his students in the late 80s. He was a very generous and kind individual. He paid great attention to our educational needs and recommended us to grad school. He was truly one of the good (best) guys!

It just doesn't seem the same around here without you Marston. I miss our conversations we had in the front yard, on the sidewalk, in the backyard. Just very thoughtful, would ask if I needed something at the store or at Meijers, he went pretty much every Friday night.
What a wonderful and kind man he was. I wish I would have came out and talked with you hours before you passed. I will regret that for ever. I have so many memories, and I will cherish them forever. Miss you so much....

I knew Bill in the 70's when I re-entered college after serving in the Air Force. He had a huge impact on my education and my career. I still remember his dry sense of humor, and his sincerity. He is missed

Love you always Marston. Thanks for taking me to the mall when I was younger to spend some quality time with me. We would always hear Sheryl Crow's song "All I Wanna Do" - and you just loved that song. Thanks for taking me all the way to basketball camp and then coming all the way back to bring me the stuff I forgot. Thanks for always making our house the place my friends wanted to be. Thanks for taking me to Meijer at 1 in the morning - just for fun. Thanks for always leaving snacks and...

Dear Matt and Brenda, Although I haven't seen your father in many years, he had a huge impact on my life. I know how close you both were to him. My thoughts and sympathies are with you.

Wil Marston or 'Daddio' as I affectionately called him was my father-in-law and what a wonderful one he was. He embraced me and my two sons when I married his wonderful son Matt and treated me as a daughter and Elliot and Jake as grandsons. We have some wonderful memories of our summers with him but feel we should have had so so many more. His wonderful wife Deb loved him so very very much and they were like a young couple in love, I feel so sad that they were robbed of many years...

I never did have the pleasure to meet Dr. Marston, but I've known his son Matt for 5 years. Matt is one of the kindest, coolest, and funiest people I know... and I understand Dr. Marston was exactly the same. How lucky you are to have had such a wonderful father as you did, Matt! If you need anything at all, let me know. I love you buddy...

I have never, nor will I ever meet a more kind and generous man than Wil. I have done numerous projects for Wil & Deb throughout the last ten years, and my family and I have grown very close to them. We will dearly miss Him.

Marston, Thanks again for calling me when my dog Willis died - I am sorry you had to go as you thought you might.
