We are so sorry for your loss.
We believe that Bill Brockett was the driver of the Coast Guard boat that took my father & mother-in- law, my husband and me, and our two small daughthers out on the York River as a "free-bee" during one Coast Guard Day Picnics...probably in the early-mid '80s. My mother-in-law always remembered "Chief Brockett"...... He was very nice to her, and she loved the boat ride. Shew is 85 now and basically blind.

Joan, we're so sorry to hear about Bill. He was a good man, a good friend and neighbor. Vida, Savannah and I wish we could have been there for you during this difficult time. I'll keep found memories of Bill as he always made me chuckle during Derby Day and our "yard" conversations.

Aunt Joan, Gunnar, Keith, Tanya and family - Jim and I are very sorry to learn of the passing of Uncle Bill. We have many fond memories of our trip to Yorktown, including visits to Busch Garden and Jamestown. Aunt Joan - you're still the champion at watermelon seed spitting. Hit any squirrels lately? The little time I have had with Wilfrid...I always knew I was sitting, talking with a very intelligent, warm hearted, kind man with a great since of humor. I wish I had seen him more. I feel sad to lose him.
