Rochester...Wilfrid Joseph Forgues, 94, formerly of River Road, died Sunday, June 05, 2005 at Sunbridge Care of Rochester.

He was born in Rochester on October 10, 1910, the son of Napoleon and Elsie (Pouliot) Forgues. He lived in Lebanon, Maine for 39 years, with the remainder being here in Rochester. He was a communicant of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church in Rochester.

Mr. Forgues worked as a weaver at Sanford Mills, and at woolen mills in Rochester, prior to his retirement. He had played violin with the Vagabonds, the “Red Hayes Band”. He enjoyed the outdoors.

He was pre-deceased by two brothers and six sisters.

Survivors include his god son, Wilfred Larochelle of Rochester and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation at H.J. Grondin & Son Funeral Home, 177 North Main Street, Rochester will be Wednesday from 10 to 10:45 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11 a.m. in Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church. Burial will follow in Holy Rosary Cemetery.
