Not sure what to say?

Remembering Will from years ago on alt.surfing. Always found his commentary witty and fun. "I was chiefly aware of ecstatic bliss at having caught the wave" - Jack London

I grew up with will at lake Sherwood in the Santa Monica mountains. We were brothers from the first rock fight at 8 years old til his passing. We smoked our first cigarette together. We surfed the California coast with a passion. We were such good friends that we took each other for granted. And now this. I will never take you for granted again. Rest but awhile and then return to us with you wit and superior intelligence. Until then, love wings

Thank you Will for sharing your knowledge with me during my stay at Bodega Marine Lab. You were much respected by myself and my collegues. Spring class of 98'.
You will be missed & your contributions will not be forgotten.

Didn't know the man personally but enjoyed reading his ba.food postings.

Although I never got the chance to meet Will in person, I enjoyed the communication we shared through alt.surfing. You will be missed!

A truly interesting man - father, husband, scientist, gourmand, car buff, guitarist, surfer.

May you walk on water, Will.

I never met Will in person, but exchanged many messages on the internet's alt.surfing newsgroup and via email. Will was particularly helpful and encouraging in planning and preparing for my family's trip to France three summers ago. He shared his first hand experience and provided many suggestions in traveling around France, in particular the SW region, from surf spots to cuisine to types of cars we should try to rent. I am only sorry not to have been able to thank him in person. RIP on...

I knew Will through the internet bulletin board know as "alt.surfing." We exchanged a few emails over the years.

Will had my total respect. I'll greatly miss his reasoned wit and intellect.
