Pallbearers are Chad Styron, Thomas Sutton, Matthew Stephens, and his special friend group the “Lingletons,” Bethany, Heather, and JT Lee and Maddie and Mary Helen Singleton.

The family will receive friends from 5:30 pm until 8:30 pm Friday, December 1, 2023, at Paul Funeral Home & Crematory in Washington, immediately following the memorial service, and at other times at his parent’s home in Greenville.

Will was born in Pitt County on November 6, 2002, to David and Polly Singleton. Will began playing cello at age 4 and played throughout his life. He was a member of Eastern Youth Orchestra and played cello and bass at Christ’s Church in Winterville. In 2021, Will graduated from Christ Covenant School in Winterville.

Will enjoyed good music, good books, good food, and good times with his friends. Following in the footsteps of his father and grandfather, he loved working with his hands and helping others. On two mission trips, Will helped build houses with YUGO Ministries in Ensenada, Mexico and often talked about building another. Will was a fiercely loyal friend to all, especially his sisters. He will be sorely missed.

Surviving along with his parents are his sisters, Maddie and Mary Helen Singleton, his paternal grandmother, Zelma Singleton, many aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and his beloved black lab, Sawyer.

Will was preceded in death by his grandparents, Hubert and Shirley Hardison and William D. “Billy” Singleton, and by his cousins, Jimmy Hardison and Brian Douglas.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to YUGO Ministries, P.O. Box 1355, Chula Vista, CA 91912.
