Willamae Henthorne Fowler

Willamae Henthorne Fowler 86 of Liberty Addition died Saturday July 10, 2004 at her home surrounded by her family and friends following a brief illness. She was born in Clarksburg April 8, 1918 a daughter of the late David and Ethel Wright Henthorne. Also surviving are 3 sons Richard D. Fowler and wife Mary Ann of Clarksburg, Arnold E. “Luke” Fowler and wife Jan of Salem and Timothy K. Fowler also of Clarksburg. Three daughters, Beverly J. Palmer and husband Everett, Clarksburg, Dolores J. Slay and husband Mitch, and Karen L. Compton and husband Jerry both of Philippi. 13 Grandchildren, Kimberly Nicewander, Richard Palmer, Brian Palmer, Kelly Jo Long, Kevin Fowler, Craig Fowler, Tracy Compton, Jeremy Compton, Angie Hickman, Suzanna Fowler, Leeanna Fowler and 10 great grandchildren. 3 step grandchildren Karl Slay and wife Dawn, Kimberly Ford, Connie Clutter Nicholson and 8 step great grandchildren. One sister Bonnie Morris of Fairmont. Mrs. Fowler was preceded in death by one brother Rev. Arnold E. Henthorne and one sister Olive Hustead. Mrs. Fowler was member of the Liberty United Methodist Church where she taught adult Sunday School, past Sunday school superintendent and past president of the United Methodist Women. She was employeed in the family owned business Henthorne’s Christian Book Store for 15 years. Family and friends may call at the Davis Funeral Home One Olen Thomas Dr. Rt. 98 Clarksburg/Nutter Fort from 2-8 PM Tuesday where funeral services will be held Wednesday July 14th at 10:00 AM with the Rev Mason Bennet officiating.
