Willard was my land lord (I rented his home) in Wilmington VT in the mid-1980´s. He made a lasting impression on me because of his kindness, graciousness, and the interest he took in conversations with me. He was a very kind soul and the ultimate gentleman. May he rest in God´s Peace.

Dear Debbie: What a remarkable man and what a loss to you and your family. I am thinking of you and sending you love. You only get one Dad and I know he was an amazing force in your life.
My condolences to you all.

We send our deepest sympathy in the loss of your Dad, father-in-law & grandfather. Willard was a talented, kind man who adored his family. We were lucky to have met him. May he rest in peace & may your memories of his life & love soon turn from sorrow to joy.

We are so sorry for your loss. We feel lucky to have gotten to know him and to enjoy his generosity, his exuberance, his remarkable mind, his well-curated appertif collection, his NYC travel tips, and, most of all, his love of his family. Sending you all our sincerest condolences.
