Me. Sweeris was my mechanical drawing and architectural drafting teacher in high school. So funny and kind. If you were making a mistake on your work, he would walk by slowly singing your song. Dum de dum dum...He would never tell you exactly what was wrong but would make you figure it out for yourself. He was one of my very favorite teachers.

When I think of my education, Elementary, High School at Godwin and College, the first teacher that comes to mind is Mr. Sweeris. First of all, he's the best teacher that made an impact on me. I did not know a teacher could be that cool! In his Mechanical Drawing class I mostly was in awe of his teaching abilities. Because of his helping me PRINT better in his class, I gave up writing in curser and now forever PRINT anything I write. Maybe not my signature. He was the ultimate baseball coach...

He will always be "Mr. Sweeris" to me. I have such great memories of him as my mechanical drawing teacher at Godwin Heights High School and at 36th St. CRC. He had a very unique way of disciplining students when they got out of line in class. Like the time he had me stay after school and standing at one end of the classroom, throw my ruby pink eraser to the other end, walk to the other end and throw it back again. We ended up laughing our heads off, but it never happened again. I will always...
