Not sure what to say?

I am so sorry for your loss. Bill was a fine colleague at Physical Review B.

I know this is late but I just saw that Bill passed away. Condolences to his family. Bill was a Remote Editor where I work at APS. He will be missed. I was searching his name because I knew he lived in Santa Barbara and I wanted to see if he was ok w/ the mudslides and such. :( Terrible loss for the community.

I am sorry for the loss of your dearly beloved. May the God of tender mercy be with you during this most difficult time.

We are so very sorry to hear of Bill's untimely death. It sounds as if his acute mind was kept very busy by meaningful and interesting activities since his retirement and that he added much to the Santa Barbara community. We send warm thoughts and comfort to his family as they adjust to this huge loss. Judy and Richard Fry

Bill was very knowledgeable, but still very approachable; he was a great coworker.

Bill was an inventive and thorough research worker who did much to enhance the reputation of Ford Research Lab

Very sad news. I both worked with Bill at Ford and played volleyball with him at the Ann Arbor Y. I remember him as a guy who would never give up. He left too soon.

As an old volleyball player at the Y in the 1970s I sure enjoyed playing with Bill (and Tommy Hunt) as two fine setters for our teams. A great guy and competitor.

Those of us who had the opportunity to work with Bill will always remember him and miss him.

Kathy, my guess is that Bill couldn't have been who he was without your help and support.
