Mansfield - Willette EVERSON, 81, passed this life on Tuesday, April 24, 2018 in Akron.

Mrs. Everson was born on Monday, April 19, 1937 to the late James and Mary (Walton) Whitfield in Columbus, Mississippi. She had been a resident of the Mansfield community since 1960. Wiillette was a homemaker and enjoyed cooking and updating family members on current events. Over the years Willette had a relationship with the Shiloh Baptist Church.

Willette leaves to mourn her passing a daughter: Sheri (Yancy) McWain, Akron, a son: Shepherd (Kathy) Everson Jr., Richmond Heights; 5 grandchildren Jacinta, Olivia and Miriam McWain, Jordan and Matthew Everson; 4 sisters: Mary Everson, and Delores (Harrison) McDowell, Mansfield, Evelyn Ledbetter, Nashville, Tennessee, and Alta Marie Whitfield, Columbus, Mississippi; a brother Robert (Sandra) Whitfield, Mansfield; and a host of nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Everson was preceded in death by her husband Shepherd Sr. on July 23, 2008.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 1, 2018 at 11:00 AM in the Shiloh Baptist Church with Bishop William Morris, Jr. officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral services from 10:00 - 11:00 am. Interment will be in Mansfield Cemetery.
