Not sure what to say?

I was just sharing memories of Bill with colleagues from all over the University. Everyone has noted what an absolute gem of a man he was with impeccable integrity and a huge heart! We always knew that if we could explain a circumstance to Bill, he would find a way to make things right and indeed he did. As Bruce Chamberlin said, Bill was the epitome of "gentleness, generosity, humility... nothing more sure. Bill brought a compassionate eye to everything he did. His legacy lives in the lives...

Thank you for sharing this beautiful tribute to our friend Bill. I am forever grateful to have shared a part of this life with Bill and Pat. Pat, we are praying for you. We asked our Heavenly Father to give you strength and comfort during this time. With love, admiration and thankfulness, Youlonda and David Morgan

Singing with Bill in our church choir and the oratorio society, his bass voice rich and true, was a pleasure. Knowing Bill, and spending time with him and Pat, was a joy. He was a wise and kind man, Intelligent, and devilishly funny. I am honored to have known him. May he rest in peace.

I found Bill a wise and mentoring presence through many meetings and shared conversations. I'm sorry that he is gone and I send warm wishes to his family in this difficult time.

Pat, My Pat and I are deeply saddened by Bill's passing, but know that he is welcomed home by our Lord Jesus. His work was always in the best interest of students. Bill was more than a colleague- he was a friend and I will miss him. We shared many days together which I will always be remembered as some of my best. I regret that I will be unable to attend his service, but I want you to know that I will be there in by thoughts and prayers.

Pat, Jean and I are sorry to hear about Bill's passing. You and your family are in our prayers.

Our deepest sympathy for your loss. Despite the passing of so many years, Jan and I have many great memories of times spent with Bill. He was truly a kind and wonderful man.

My deepest condolences to Bill's family. Bill was an amazing colleague and human being, always kind and gentle, and deeply committed to enabling student success. He and I worked on numerous difficult and challenging cases. He was always generous and smart and tactical. Countless students benefitted from his work on their behalf. True to his character and nature, Bill was an unsung hero to many. Rest in eternal peace. May his memory be a blessing to us all.

My thoughts and prayers are extended to the Schilling family. Bill was such a well respected colleague at Penn and in the financial aid community. My sincerest condolences to you. He will be missed.
