William "Bill" Spencer Suddeth Obituary

Funeral service for William "Bill" Spencer Suddeth, 82 of Anniston will be 11 a.m. Friday, April 10, 2015 at Eulaton United Methodist Church with the Rev. Abi Carlisle-Wilke officiating and eulogy by Del Marsh. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Mr. Suddeth passed away Tuesday afternoon at Jacksonville Health and Rehab. Survivors include his wife, Anne Christine Suddeth; daughters, Susan Suddeth Thompson and Ginger Suddeth Marsh and husband, Del Marsh; grandchildren, Justin Marsh and wife, Carolyne; Christine Marsh King and husband Julian King Jr.; great-grandchild, Sydney Marsh; niece and nephews, Phillip King, Greg King, and Kim Woods. Mr. Suddeth is preceded in death by his parents, Edward L. and Nora Vasco Suddeth; sister, Nina Ann King; son-in-law Jim Thompson. Pallbearers will be Justin Marsh, Julian M. King Jr., Phillip King, Greg King, Pat McCarty and Barry Craig. Mr. Suddeth was a devoted husband of 62 years to his high school sweetheart, Anne Peters. He was a loving and compassionate father, grandfather and great grandfather. To his family he was a role model, he was supportive, he was a protector and he conveyed unconditional love. In short, he was everything to his family and friends. He lived life with dignity and distinction. Mr. Suddeth was a member of the Boy Scouts of America, the ROTC, the National Guard and the Oxford High School Band. He loved golf and was a self-proclaimed "duffer". He was passionate about Auburn football, boating on the lake and flying in his airplane. Mr. Suddeth was well known for his BBQ sauce recipe. The sauce is so good, many have said he should have marketed it. Mr. Suddeth was the successful owner and operator of Industrial Plating located in West Anniston. It was a business he started in 1963. In lieu of flowers the family request donations may be made to the Eulaton United Methodist Church, 401 Westover Rd.
