WILLIAM R. ADDIS III

WILLIAM R. ADDIS III, 64, of Hicksville, formerly of Fort Wayne, passed away on Wednesday, Sept. 11, 2018, at Hickory Creek of Hicksville. Born Nov. 16, 1953, in Fort Wayne, he was a son of the late William R. and Wavabelle (Ditzenberger) Addis II. He worked 32 years for Dietriech Industries. He was a member of Hicksville Eagles and enjoyed short track racing. He loved spending time visiting the Toledo Zoo and Indiana Beach. Playing cards with family and friends was one of his favorite pastimes. Surviving are his son, Jeremy (Dana) Addis; siblings, Becky (Bill) Hall, Dennis (Deb) Addis, Greg (Jennie) Addis, and Jeff Addis; stepchildren, Robert (Lana) Addis, Charles (Sheryl) Addis and Michelle (Christopher) Maggart; and three grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Cindy Addis. Funeral service is 2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 16, 2018, at Greenlawn Funeral Home, 6750 Covington Road, Fort Wayne (IN 46804), with visitation two hours prior. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
