As a child growing up in Roundup, my mom would take us kids into the Supermarket and Bill would make it a point to track us down and offer us a sucker he would pull out of his shirt pocket. It was a gesture that I will remember the rest of my life. I think those suckers were 1 or 2 cents at the time, but it was about the smile and happiness he saw as he handed us the sucker.
