Not sure what to say?

Mr. Anderson was a phenomenal teacher who really cared about his students. His perseverance allowed for me to become a better student not only in his class, but in my future studies as well. Rest in peace, Mr. Anderson.

Was in Mr. Anderson's class in 1991, always respected the man and one of the few teachers I can say that I fondly recall. Rest easy Mr. Anderson.

I was so fortunate to be a new teacher and colleague of Mr. Anderson in the science department at CNS High School. He was my teaching kindred spirit - as we were both alumni of SUNY ESF and have a passion for all things to do with the natural world and its preservation. Bill was an honest, kind and compassionate soul. He worked tirelessly to support his students learning. He maintained a beautiful greenhouse, he coached our science olympiad students, and so much more. Mostly, I will remember...

My condolences to the family, many friends and colleagues of Mr. Anderson. I, along with several friends have long lasting memories of class with him as our instructor at Cicero High in the late 70's. His humor, was understated...even when the joke was on him, he was a good sport about it. His manner of calling on you with a "Mister" or "Miss" kept you on your toes, yet made learning exceptionally enjoyable.

Mr.Anderson was my biology teacher at North Syracuse in about 1963. He was an excellent teacher and a kind man (we were teenagers and must have been pretty trying at times). I have many fond memories of working after school in the animal lab under his supervision. He taught his students to appreciate science and the natural world. Remember that Indigo snake? And Field Biology, where we discovered things like Pitcher plants, and "scat boards"! I really believe that because I had such an...

Bill & Fitz in Germany

I've known Bill for 55 years, first as a student at NS in 1961. Then as a mentor, family friend, travel companion & fellow science educator. He's one of the reasons I became a teacher. He was a fantastic, dedicated, innovative teacher and I know he influenced many of his other students. He worked many years with Science Olympiad championship teams at CNS. He was an Eagle Scout, avid birder, photographer, traveler and loved classical music.
Together with other great teachers, his friends...

I was privileged to have Mr. Anderson as a teacher at Cicero High School. He was a great teacher, role model, and man. He will be missed. My condolences to the family.

It is with much sadness to hear of and acknowledge the passing of Bill Anderson, a long time friend and professional colleague. For 13 years at Cicero High School we taught in adjoining rooms during which time I came to greatly respect his teaching skills, dedication to the success of his students and enjoy his dry and understated sense of humor. Simply said, Bill was a good man; a credit to the teaching profession and a friend to those who knew him. My memories of Bill are only pleasant...

Offering our deepest condolences during this time.
