I was away when Willie died. I was so incredibly sad to hear of his death. I had just seen him a couple of weeks back. I told him he looked good and we hugged as we went our separate ways. I'll miss his smile, gentle ways and great advocacy work. One more star in the sky.

You were an extremely thoughtful and beautiful person that touched many lives. I will miss your smile and sparkle very much.

To all the Aponte family my deepest sympathy to all of you, may God comfort you in this time of sorrow.
But also keep in mind he no longer suffers physical pain live by all the years of memories both good and sad times and I know he will never be forgotten.God bles you all.

Dear Marty, Dodie and Family: This is Al and Joyce Boudreau's daughter Donna from next door in Dutch Point. I heard about Willie's death from my Mom. I have many fond memories of playing in the back yard with Willie, Junior, Rosa, Madeline and Francie. Though many years have gone by since those childhood memories, I've never forgotten the friendship of your family to mine. My thoughts and prayers are with your family during this difficult time.
