Read MoreI took a course from Bill Arveson, took my qualifying exams with him, and, later, briefly became his Ph.D. student. He was always kind, encouraging, engaged, and helpful. He was always great to talk to and be around. I think about him frequently. I am sorry he is no longer with us.
