I have a hundred "Uncle Bill" stories, but one that is appropos at this time was soon after my dad died, Uncle Bill gave me some wise words of comfort. He told me that while my dad's body died, his spirit lived in all those who knew him. We carry the spirit of our parents with us long after they're gone. Amen.

I first met Bill 20 years ago when he walked into my shop to order the Westfield Horseshoe League sweatshirts. I would only see Bill twice a year, when he placed the order, & then when he picked it up. ....I so enjoyed his quick wit & gentle sense of humor. As the years passed, I would "light up" & smile each time he came in; our visits became a little longer & we laughed a little more each time.... almost 20 years! The last few years when he left, I wondered if that would be our last...

Maryann, Peter and Bill,
It's been some time since I lost my dad. I'll always treasure remembrances of our 4th of July picnics, horseshoes and golf at Southampton.
