Not sure what to say?

The company he built as been the support of my career in Real Estate. His ideals and business ethics makes me want to pattern my life in the same way. I never had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Bain, however I will always remember him just the same.

I did not have the opportunity to meet Mr. Bain but I do have the pleasure and benefit of his hard work at Coldwell Banker Bain. My prayers and condolences to his family.

My family lived next door to the Bain's on Mercer Island. Several years ago my brother Dan and I traveled out to the Island and stopped by to say hello to Carol and Bill. We had a wonderful conversation and Bill was charming and gracious. Bill was a kind, gentle and caring person and I always enjoyed visiting his home. My deepest sympathies to Carol, Lesley and Paul at the loss of your husband and father. Leslie (Finger) Carroll

Bill was an icon in the office and in the community. He personified all that was decent in the world of business and was widely respected. I joined the Westlake office shortly after it opened and worked for Bill for 25 years. There are many stories to tell! He was always "one of us" - not our 'boss'! He is remembered fondly.

I got to know Bill while doing committee work and board officer duty at the Seattle Yacht Club. I remember Bill as a person who listened intently and had relevant and challenging questions and comments no matter what was going on around him when I would walk up to talk to him. It didn't matter who you were -- Bill always demonstrated equal-opportunity kindness and sincerity. Not everyone is like that. Those who are are have a richer life and make life richer for everyone around them. Rest in...

We all feel a great loss at the passing of Mr. Bain. I had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Bain when I began my career in the Lake Union. At the time he had his office here. He was a quiet man of grace, dignity and integrity. He set the tone for the culture of our company that remains today. What a wonderful founder and leader he was! He will be missed. My sympathies to his family.

My heartfelt condolences. Many of us at the Fairwood office of Coldwell Banker were worried to discover Wm Bain & Assoc had purchased "us." But it proved to be a great marriage. Thank you, Mr. Bain!

My heart is very sad today upon hearing of the passing of Mr. Bain. I grew up as a child next to the Bains and have many wonderful memories of Mr. Bain. My favorite is during Holloween, when the Bains would have a big bon fire and serve hot cider.

My heart felt prayers go out to Mrs. Bain, Leslie and Paul. Peace be with you.

Dan (Finger) DeGidio

My sympathy to family members and closest friends. I have been proudly associated with CB Bain since the purchase of CB Hawkins-Poe. Bain is a great company with stellar reputation in our industry, all credits directly to Mr. Bain. My prayers to all. Pat Brewer, Tacoma Main Office
