Not sure what to say?

Bevi, We are both very sorry to hear of Billy’s death and have suffered with you over the last few months although at a distance. You were both such good friends to us during those youthful Beacon Hill days that its hard to believe that those times have ended. Our children looked on you as surrogate parents and no week was complete without doing something with the Bairds even if it was only beating you at tennis or being beaten by you at badminton. Hi Bevie, Matthew forwarded the notice about Bill over to me today. A good picture and nice script about the guy we all loved. Love to you and the family, Jill

Auntie Beverly, I was so sad to hear from Mum about Uncle Billy's death. He was like a second father to me and my siblings as we grew up. I will always remember him with fondness and cherish all the many vacations and weekends we all spent together like one big family. It doesn't seem possible that he is gone, he was such a fixture in our life and now in our memories. His passing is so sad.
Love Janet, Chris, Kendall and Kiernan

I don't think we ever met, but my husband Bill knew you well. So sorry to hear of the passing of your brother, Bob and your father, Brenda. Too many passings recently in this family. Please remember well and try to enjoy the memories.

I never once heard him raise his voice to anybody, although I'm sure when all of us were vacationing on Lake Champlain it was more like work than rest. I will always remember him (and you) for being so loving and kind to a bratty little "sweet pea." My thoughts and prayers...
