Not sure what to say?

As I sit here and read some of the condolences I am reminded of what great character, soft godly spirit, uncanny sense of humor and a truly larger than life presence Sox had. I always felt honored to be in his presence.this world has lost on of its brightest lights .Sox you are my earthly example of how to live. May God continue to bless the Baldwin family who has lost so much.

Cordelia and family,
I loved Sox, as everyone did, I am sure he is happy in heaven charming all the angles.
My condolences to you all, love Lamar.

I am so grateful for the time I had with Sox. It really wasn't much, but I always adored him. He had such a kind sweet spirit.
You are all in my thoughts and prayers.

So sorry that we could not be with you. Barbara and I are keep you and your family in our prayers.

Somehow I thought Sox would live forever, he was "forever young" while describing himself at earlier NA Alum gatherings as "I'm Sox, the oldest living NA alum!" A gentleman in the best sense, I always left his presence with a smile on my face, how did he mangage that wonder twinkle throughout his long life? John and I will miss seeing him on visits to Norfolk. Sending our love to Cordelia and Bart and Margaret and all who loved him. What a way to leave: "Wonderful"

A prince of a fellow & a real gentleman - worked with him since 1980 - tremendous impact on all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

I'm thinking of you, Katherine.

I met Sox through my friend Armistead Dye. I worked at several restaurants in the area back in the 90s and Sox would always drop by to say "Hi" and see how I was doing. One of the best things you can say about a person is actually being glad to see them. I was always glad to see Sox!

Chaplain Bob Warren and I met Sox when Bob became the Parish Visiting Minister for First Pres in Norfolk. Sox asked me to be on the Board of the Academy of Music and it was a wonderful 6 years of working with the Academy and Sox. He was so upbeat and such a tower of strength to everyone. Heaven truly will be blessed by his presence. Our deep sympathy to the family in this time of loss.
