Read MorePastor Barnes confirmed me into the Prospect United Methodist Church when I was 13. As a young man he made service and worship exciting and fun. He had a yellowing laugh and he will be remembered fondly. He was a great clergy leader and was an excellent mentor to my mother who worshiped at PUMC most of her adult life. My condolences.

Pastor Bill was a wonderful preacher! Somehow, he was always able to relate the Bible versus to everyday life. We will miss his God to life sermons.

Rich, Becky and the extended Barnes Family, I'm so sorry to hear that your dad has passed. I met your mom and dad when Ron invited me over to your home to give him a ride back in the early 1980's. Ron and I became friends then lasting right up until his passing. Both your mom and dad would come by my house to pick up Ron giving me the opportunity to sit and chat with them. Rest easy that they are all together again just as they were so many weekends when they came by to pick up Ron. RIP...
