I want to express my deepest sympathies to Bill's family, and apologize for not being at his funeral. I had a family emergency and had to be in Georgia last week-end.

To Bill's family: I am very sorry for your loss of an extraordinary man. I met Bill nearly 30 yrs. when we were learning how to sea kayake in Lake Michigan.
