I'm only now learning of Bill's death and am so very saddened. The obituary was perfect. I may have added something about his distinctive accent though. I was fascinated by his memory of the words to church hymns. One time when we went to mass at a start-up Episcopal church in Santa Rosa, Florida, in a trailer, Bill never had to look at the words in the hymnal. He knew every verse of every hymn we sang. Bill Guy, I was among the first relatives to love you. I thought of you as my baby. I was almost 10 when we met. Couldn't wait to hold you. What a joy you brought to our lives. Bill, I've thought about you quite often in the years since Katrina, it seems that that's when we lost touch. I'll always remember your dry, sweet sense of humor and your generosity. What a bright Light ! I worked with Bill at Finlay - Dillard's . Bill made us all laugh so much and eat so well! We came to visit his then home in Florida for a meeting and had the best time ! He was so devoted and committed to whatever he would undertake , I feel so blessed to have known and worked with such a great person! Sweet Peace to you dear Bill! His was a life well lived!
