Not sure what to say?

I started working clerically in the Main Office at Greenfield High School as a young teenager via a local youth program that assigned me to work at the High School under the support and direction of Betty Nee (Principal's secretary at GHS for many years). After graduating from GHS in 1971, I had the privilege of working with Bill and Rosemarie Bassett for more than 20 years in the main office as a full-time secretary. I also worked with his daughter, Jennifer, for a short time while she...

Enjoyed working with Bill on the cable commission. We learned a lot from him. Grateful he painted scenes around Greenfield and captured the very last Howard Johnsons. A very talented man. Condolences to the family.

My earliest memory of Billy was a seventh grade dance where we both played the accordion. He was a master and I was of "Lady of Spain "ability. I laugh about it to this day. He was a great guy and he and Rose Anne were a great couple.

I am deeply saddened to hear the news of Bills passing. He was my favorite teacher and later a great confident to me being a substitute teacher. He always had a smile no matter what whether it be at school at the grocery store at holy Trinity he always had a kind word I'm sure he will be missed May our Lord Jesus Christ drop his loving arms around you at this time May the perpetual light shine upon him Please accept my sincere condolences sending hugs and prayers

I remember Bill from GHS the 70s. Always with a kind word, as well as his wife. Hanging around the Media Center through High School with him probably kept me out of more trouble than I managed to get in. I still remember Bill and smile.

I wish I could be there for you but I am not able to be there for the celebration. After "the kids" were at Camp Apex I re connected with them early mornings at The Y.I pointed out to the present Y stff that one of his best paintings beautifully shows the OLD Y and presently hangs in the conference room there. With love and sincere sympathy.Michele Couture Hazlett

Mr. Bassett was in charge of the Media Center at Greenfield High School while I was a student there (1971-1974). My memories of working with him and other students at the Media Center are among the fondest of my youth. My condolences to his family. Godspeed, Mr. Bassett!

A great neighbor who cared about the street we live on. Bill and Rose-Marie are such caring and wonderful people. The street has changed for the better all because of them.RIP Bill, you will always be remembered.
