Not sure what to say?

I grew up in Bristol and knew the Bastons well. When they moved from town I never thought for a minute I would end up teaching for Mr. Baston at Merrimack Valley High School. He was a tough superintendent that wanted the best for the district, he had a good heart and was very fair. My sympathies and best wishes to the family.

It was my pleasure to have Mr. Baston as a teacher and coach when he taught many of us at Sunapee High School. We were very fortunate to have him. My deepest sympathy to his family.

When I taught in Canterbury Elementary School, Mr. Baston was my very first Superintendent of School. Word was always out to keep your teacher's desk top organized as that how he judged if you were a good teacher or not. I remember a Math test was made by the fellow teachers for every grade level that gave us ownship to the achievement of our students. He certainly was a leader in charge that gave me a terrific start into being an quality educator!

We're thinking of you, Carolyn Sr. Will always have fond memories of your hospitality at the lake. And always enjoyed hearing about Bill's exploits on the golf course. Peace be with you.

My deepest sympathy To Mrs. Baston and Billy. Some of my fondest memories as a child was with your family, either in Bristol or Keezer Lake Me.I cherished the time we spent together. My prayers are with you all.

Rest in peace Bill!We may play golf together again. Carolyn and Bill were my best friends and I'll miss him dearly. One of your long time golf buddies.

DEAR BASTON FAMILY-
Bill was my principal during my final years in high school at Newfound Regional. They were great years and he was a fine principal. He was both strict but fun-loving.
My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Dear Bill,
I read the news today. Sorry for your loss. We used to play golf at MVHS a long time ago, thought I'd give ya a shout out. Be well and keep hitting those windup monster drives. Charlie B.

I remember Bill very well - he was a much loved teacher and coach at Sunapee High School when I was a student there. My sympathy to Carolyn and the rest of his family.
