Not sure what to say?

This was sad news. Bill and Helen were instrumental in re-starting the Trine University Amateur Radio Club, KD9SHK (formerly Tri-State College - his undergraduate alma mater). Through their generous donation of equipment and funding, the club has a nice, well-equipped shack. Bill was also very intelligent and loved amateur radio. I enjoyed several meetings with him and Helen over the past few years and wish it could have been a longer friendship. Our thoughts and prayers are with Helen and...

Prof Becher got me into the amateur radio club first as treasurer and then helped me serve as president. I really enjoyed being with him and Helen. They were always the first to the monthly meetings to help with setup. Every time I didn´t do well enough, Prof Becker would have a chat with me and taught me how to operate an organization. He shared his stories of how to get promoted quickly, opening new companies, and his method of learning French. After he learned about my interest in WWII, he...

My condolences to Helen, Patti and Eric on the sad loss of your husband and father. May you find comfort and healing in your happy memories of Bill and his long and full life. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

Bill was my first boss and mentor when I moved to Ann Arbor as a new EE graduate over 60 years ago -- initially at Bendix System Division and then at The University of Michigan, Willow Run Laboratories. He helped me in so many ways and I will always be grateful.

Sorry to hear Prof. Becher passed away. Condolences to his family members. He was so passionate & enthusiastic about UMARC, repeaters & Yagi on top of the W8UM tower. You'll be dearly missed. God bless.

He lived a rich and fulfilling life. I've only gotten to know him in the last year or so through the AAROW club. At ease, soldier, your duty is done, rest easy.

Please tell me how I can contact Helen. She and Prof. Becher were some of my favorite people at the EECS department for many, many years. I am so sorry to hear of his passing. Please extend my sincere sympathy to her.
