William Beedie Jr.

My mother, Norma JOhnson, grew up in Windsor and went to Windsor High ((b. 1929) and loved reading the book Windsor History and Happenings. She has passed away too but she talked about the German POW camp and the workers on her dad's ranch off Chalk Hill Rd. Glad he lived a successful life.

Mt Beedie was one of my teachers at Starr King. And he was one of favorite. I don't remember many of my other teachers, but Mr Beedie always stood out in my mind. So sorry he's gone. God bless.

In 1962, Mr. Beedie was my 5th grade teacher at Arden School. He was a huge influence in my life and because of his encouragement, I became a teacher. I recently retired after 36 years of teaching (29 with San Juan). I remember Mr. Beedie leaving me in charge of the classroom when he needed to leave because he said I could handle it. He inspired great confidence in myself. I also remember him helping me with math, my most difficult subject. He never made me feel incompetent and always praise...
