To Fr. Bill's family: I am so sorry to learn of Fr. Bill's passing. We communicated this past July briefly and he mentioned he was battling cancer and unable to travel to Malawi. I wrote him because I have connections in Malawi. But much further back, he and my father, Paul E Schmidt went to Chaminade High School and my father was a very devoted friend and Fr. Bill as well.
