Not sure what to say?

Bill is a legend in Branford. A friend to all, and everyone was his friend. Common sense wisdom, an interest in doing all things in the best way possible and his abundant optimism are hallmarks of his legacy.
Fond memories of our times together...the post-Thanksgiving bonfires; road-trips to Pittsburgh Steelers games, Tombola and Game Dinners at the Marchigian Club; competitive, but joyful doubles matches down at Foote Park--and watching his kids and grandkids grow to be such great people:...

Mr. Benni was my third grade teacher, at Cedar Lake School. His first year teaching. I sent him a copy of my report card a few years ago. He got a kick out of it. My Daughter is a now a teacher. A photo of Mr. Benni is in the book, Images Of America North Branford/Northford 1950-1981, page 34. We are all better for having known him and sad he is gone.

CAROLYN, BILLY, VICTOR AND CAROLYN WHAT CAN I SAY BUT ONE OF THE CLASSIEST MEN I HAVE EVER KNOWN HAS PASSED AWAY. BILL WAS MY FRIEND. WE WENT TO BALL PARKS, METS, YANKEES AND THE BEST TRIP OF ALL WAS TO FENWAY PARK. WE PLAYED A LOT OF SOFTBALL, BOCCE AND HAD A FEW BEERS TOGETHER. I WILL MISS HIM. REST IN PEACE, BILL BENNI.

Sending my prayers to your family. Mr. Benni was my third grade teacher at Jerome Harrison School around 1985. I went on to become a teacher and have thought of him many times over the last 20 years of my teaching career. He was a bright light and a gift to his students. I will never forget him. Rest In Peace, Mr. Benni. With Love and Sympathy, Christie (Ciaburri) Cambio

So sorry to hear of Bills passing. He was
my 6th grade teacher at Jerome Harrison School
and he was one of the umpires we used at the
North Branford Mens Softball League.
He was a great guy and I will miss him.
